Step into a winter night straight out of a Tahoe dream. This Full Moon Snowshoe Hike at Granlibakken pairs fresh snow, crisp mountain air, and the glow of a full moon—with the added magic of a lunar eclipse overhead.

The evening begins at the Granlibakken Ski Hut at the Granlibakken Lodge in Tahoe City. Enjoy a full moon snowshoe featuring a light dinner of soup, bread, mulled wine, cocoa and other treats.  We'll leave the ski hut for a 432 elevation gain to a spectacular lookout over Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe.  Here you'll be served a light dinner and time to enjoy the full moon view before heading back to the Lodge.  Total snowshoe distance is 2.5 miles.
